Upper Nyack is a village located in the town of Clarkstown in Rockland County, New York. It is located along the Hudson River and is about 30 miles from New York City.

According to the United States Census Bureau, as of 2000 Upper Nyack has a population of more than 1,800 residents. The village has a total land area of 4.2 square miles with 2.9 square miles of water. The village is located at an elevation of 190 feet above sea level.

The racial demographics of Upper Nyack are 92.54% White, 3.33% African American, 0.05% Native American, 2.31% Asian, 0.43% from other races, and 1.34% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race are 4.13% of the population.

Upper Nyack has more than 1,500 households, many of which are affluent. The median income for a household in the village is $91,156, and the median income for a family was $103,049. The village is mostly residential in nature, with homes separated by plenty of trees.

Upper Nyack is home to the Nyack Beach State Park and Nyack High School.
